The Neighborhood Acting Studio does not only offer professional acting training for actors looking to build a solid foundation in the craft of acting that will set them apart, but also for much-needed life-skills that promotes awareness, confidence, and a sense of security that is critical, not only in the film and professional acting industry but for an individual's well-being.  

Since opening our doors, we have been committed to helping people of all ages pursue their passions, explore their creativity, unlock their TALENT and provide professional guidance in a safe and supportive environment, helping students not only elevate their craft, but to live more fully and FREELY resulting in happier lives in an ever-changing, and often harsh world.

 

The Neighborhood Acting Studio provides a unique and highly personalized method of learning, creating an environment to nurture, educate and encourage individuals of all ages to achieve the highest level of success, not only in the craft of acting but also in life. 

Acting is about Truth.  Acting is not pretending, it is not lying.  Acting is behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances.  The actor must reach a level of understanding of the truth of themselves. As Sandy has said, "the truth of ourselves is the root of our acting." 

 

Rae Lane believes Acting is also a practice of Empathy and extend beyond Actors. The very requirement that an actor not merely pretend or imitate, but put yourself in - imagine - an experience that's not exactly your own is practicing empathy.

It is the mission of the Neighborhood Acting Studio to teach and promote self-awareness using proven acting exercises to advance their craft and allow students to learn about themselves, facilitate more flexible thinking and behavior, SECURING essential life skills in a fun, repeatable, and engaging way:
